Job Description:

Responsibilities:


    * Working with Web analytics, teaming with senior and midlevel content editors in shaping audience-development strategies, measuring Web site traffic (including story and page views) to assess audience preferences and ensuing coverage opportunities.
    * Throughout, this editor should be sensitive to the organization’s Search Engine Optimization needs
    * Work with reporters and editors in planning and producing multimedia features, including audio podcasts, video reports and interactive graphics
    * Help drive and implement the DBR’s interactive content, including Web polls, chats, live streaming and Webinars
    * Help expand the DBR’s social media network and maintaining the organization’s presence on Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In and YouTube.
    * This editor will be the steward of the DBR’s Facebook account
    * Help to develop blogs and e-mail newsletters
    * Assist and collaborate with the Web site editor in the updating of DBR Web site(s) to highlight breaking news and discussions with the audience
    *  Aid in the development of “drill-down sites” and specialized, topic-oriented social media accounts.

Requirements:

    * At least four years of college studying communications or journalism, particularly in the online field.
    * At least three years of experience in online and social media operations and development for a print/online publication, including production of video, slideshows and other interactive content
    * Should have strong background in video, social media, interactive experience with readers, blogging.
    * Should have advanced proficiency with Web programming languages (HTML, Dreamweaver), social media and related widgets and applications; ability to use software to create and develop video, slideshow and other interactive content, including Photoshop and Premier;
    * Knowledge of search engine optimization best practices.
    * Show ability to quickly learn and adapt to DBR’s Adobe-based content management system
    * Experienced in HTML, FLASH video editing software
